The right set of tires can increase your traction, efficiency, fuel economy, and tire lifespan while also reducing your slip rate. Experience peak productivity both on the road and in the field with optimal performance.
Choosing the right tires for your agricultural equipment is an important decision. That’s why Wonderland Tire carries a wide variety of tires specifically manufactured for use in the agricultural industry.
R1 tires, also known as “ag tires” or “farm tires,” are standard for farm tractors. These tires excel on soft surfaces—like fields of corn, soybeans, and wheat—delivering excellent traction, self-cleaning, and reliable performance when working on challenging terrain.

R3 tires are known as “turf tires” for good reason. Intended to work on lawns, grass, or forage crops, turf tires are used for applications where ride comfort is emphasized over traction. They are commonly used on commercial mowers and smaller tractors to minimize turf damage.
R4 tires, also known as “industrial tires” or “construction tires,” are designed primarily for hard surface use like asphalt, concrete, and gravel. They excel in environments and applications where durability, traction, and puncture resistance are necessary.
From tractor tires to commercial mower tires, our Wonderland Tire experts will help you find the right tire for your equipment. Call or stop by today and we will make sure you have the right tire for the job!
Both bias-ply and radial tires are essential in the agricultural tire market. To make the best decision for your next farm tire purchase, you need to understand the differences between bias and radial tires and how their attributes affect their performance in the field (and on the road).
Bias ply tractor tires are constructed using multiple plies of rubber in a diagonal pattern from bead to bead. Because of this method, the tread and sidewall of a bias tire function as one unit. This creates a strong and stiff sidewall that can prevent any damage from stumps and rocks. And because they’re stiff, bias tires can offer excellent stability on hilly terrain.
Two-part construction is what sets radials apart from bias tires. The cord plies are placed at 90 degrees to the direction of travel, and the under-tread is wrapped around the circumference of the tire using radial belts of steel or fabric. With a radial tire, sidewall flex doesn’t manipulate the tread, allowing for more even wear. This is why the tread on a radial tire can last 2-3 times longer than a bias tire’s tread.
The type of tractor tire construction you need will depend on your terrain and application. Give Wonderland Tire a call today or stop by to learn more. Our experts will ensure you find the perfect set of tires.
Tractor tires are designed with specificity because they have to perform on loose soil and soft field surfaces without damaging your soil or crops. With each tractor and plot of land being different, it’s important to look at all of your options and pick the right tires for you!
