We are pleased to announce the successful acquisition of Carter Tire & Automotive, a family-owned tire and auto repair center that provides commercial and passenger tires and services in Elkhart, Indiana. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to growth.
The acquisition of Carter Tire & Automotive will give us a step into a new area and market. Centrally located between our West Michigan stores and our Chicago store, “Carter Tire & Automotive was a nice fit,” said Dave Langerak, Chief Operating Officer of Wonderland Tire.

Carter Tire & Automotive was a nice fit for us in more ways than location. “They have similar business practices. For example, we both do commercial and retail tires, which was attractive to us," said Dave Langerak. “They also have a clean operation, are family-owned, and have similar values—Christian values.”
This partnership will allow us to “continue Carter Tire’s best practices and provide the same level of great service they have always offered their customers,” said Dave Langerak. “We are excited to add our own elite retread, Acutread, to the existing retreads offered to their customers. With the addition of a new OTR boom truck, we will be ready to provide the best service to surrounding farms and off-road equipment.”
